Services
The Task Force was created for the purpose of conducting
multi-jurisdictional investigations; tracking and disrupting
the illicit commerce of stolen goods; and investigating and
prosecuting suspects engaged in white collar crime, organized
crime, and fraud against the government. NC3TF will provide
the following services to members of associated agencies and
the high technology industry:
- Technical expertise and assistance in seizing, analyzing and / or copying of computer information.
- Technical expertise and assistance in obtaining search warrants.
- Technical training to law enforcement agencies in the recognition and investigation of high technology crimes, as well as the proper methods of handling high technology evidence.
- Information bulletins regarding current crime trends in the high technology arena.
- Outreach training to local businesses and groups regarding high technology crimes and the Task Force ability to address these problems.
- Loss prevention assistance to the high technology industry.
